Our Story

At Maya David, every piece begins with a story — ours began with loss.

We’re Marketa and David — partners in life and in craft. When a burglary took the jewelry we cherished most, we weren’t just left with absence — we were faced with a choice: to rebuild what was taken, or reimagine what could be.

We chose to create.

What began as a personal act of healing became something more expansive. Inspired by Marketa’s creative intuition and David’s eye for form and detail, we started crafting jewelry — not to replace what was lost, but to transform that moment into something meaningful, wearable, and lasting.

Our Craftsmanship

Jewelry is intimate — and so is how we make it. Most of our pieces are handcrafted in our Los Angeles studio — shaped by our own hands, at our own rhythm, with intention in every detail.

We work with natural gemstones, freshwater pearls, 925 sterling silver, and 14K gold — chosen for their beauty, integrity, and connection to the earth.

Every piece begins with purpose, and ends as something deeply personal. Made to be worn, lived in, and loved for years to come.
